ERDI-CMU organized a seminar “CMU towards Carbon Neutrality” on Monday, February 12, 2024 at Thongkwao Room, 2nd floor, Academic Services Office. Chiang Mai University

Professor Dr. Phongrak M.D. Sri Bundit Mongkol President of Chiang Mai University Chaired the opening ceremony of “CMU aims to be Carbon Neutrality (CMU towards Carbon Neutrality)” by Associate Professor Dr. Sirichai Qualitydert, Director of the Nakornping Energy Research and Development Institute, reported Mr. Tossaphon Puanudom, Deputy Governor of Chiang Mai Province. Congratulations on success Pilot project of Chiang Mai University on Climate Change Management and Assoc. Prof. Prasert Rerkriangkrai, Vice President and Chairman of A2 Strategy, presented the policy plan. Driving the carbon strategy and give certificates of honor to pilot agencies “Project to assess organizational carbon footprint and request Carbon Neutrality certification, Mae Hia Educational Area and Hariphunchai Educational Center”, totaling 11 departments, including the Faculty of Agriculture Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Faculty of Agro-Industry Lanna Rice Research Center Laboratory Animal Center Food and Packaging Innovation Center Mae Hia Educational Service Area Student Dormitory (Mae Hia Dormitory), Science and Technology Park Comprehensive biomass management center Nakornping Energy Research and Development Institute and Chiang Mai University Hariphunchai Education Center

Chiang Mai University There is a policy to aim for carbon neutrality by 2032 and drive Strategy according to the Chiang Mai University Educational Development Plan, Phase 13 (2023-2027), aimed at pushing each department to create a database of greenhouse gas emissions. Therefore, Nakornping Energy Research and Development Institute who was assigned to manage the SODU project for the transition to carbon neutrality of Chiang Mai University (Carbon Neutral University), organized a seminar under the name “CMU towards Carbon Neutrality” so that all departments Acknowledge the policy plan for moving towards carbon neutrality and be able to apply knowledge to further work correctly. which will ultimately lead to the achievement of the university’s objectives.
