Helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions Aiming for the goal of carbon neutrality<br>.<br>This research is an important pilot project to develop and expand Carbon Capture technology to be able to use carbon dioxide captured from electricity production. To be used together with by-product materials from the decontamination process of power plants or gypsum. To develop a material that can be used commercially is calcium carbonate. Supporting this research therefore helps Thailand achieve its goals. Carbon Neutrality by promoting and driving the use of capture technology. utilization and Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) in a concrete way.<br>.<br>The &nbsp;funds support this research. The study period is from 1 July 2022 &#8211; 31 December 2023. The goal is to study the efficiency and process of synthesis of calcium carbonate from FGD gypsum that is a by-product of the power plant&#8217;s desulfurization process. To get pure calcium carbonate (CaCO3) products to be used in the desulfurization process (FGD process) of power plants, helping to reduce the release of carbon dioxide from power plants, which is one of the causes of global warming. Ready to study the possibilities of technology and economics in the calcium carbonate production process.
