Therefore, Chiang Mai University (CMU) prioritizes adaptation and resilience to mitigate impacts and ensure sustainability for both the university and surrounding communities.

CMU has the Academic Center for Water Management Support, a central organization that integrates knowledge and experts in water and the environment to support data development, research, and collaboration with various agencies to drive strategic initiatives.
In addition, it focuses on developing personnel in the areas of carbon and sustainability and establishing a collaborative network for climate action among academic institutions, the government, the business sector, and the community.
